Mahjong Wins Triple Pot: Pragmatic Play Slot Tops Out at 100,000x

Pragmatic Play has released Mahjong Wins Triple Pot, a gold-trimmed slot based on the East Asian tile game. It follows Mahjong Wins Super Scatter and is the studio's newest addition to its catalogue. The RTP is 96.5%, volatility is rated extreme, and the maximum win is 100,000x the stake.

Grid, tumbles and the multiplier trail

The game uses a 4-5-5-5-4 reel layout. Wins come from landing 3 to 5 matching tiles. Winning symbols disappear after each payout and new ones drop in, so a single spin can run through several tumbles.

Consecutive tumbles in the base game move a multiplier trail upward, from 2x to 3x and then 5x, where it stops. The trail stays in place until the spin is over. In the bonus game the numbers are higher: the tumble multiplier starts at 2x, then climbs to 4x, 6x and a ceiling of 10x.

Gold-marked tiles and wilds

On any spin, random paying symbols on reels two, three and four can be marked in gold. If a gold tile is part of a winning combination, it leaves a wild in its place for the next tumble. That keeps a winning sequence going using a symbol already on the grid, and it feeds the multiplier trail by extending the chain of tumbles.

Three pots, eight free spins

The "Triple Pot" in the title refers to the scatter mechanic. Blue, red and purple coin scatters are collected in their own pots above the three centre reels. Each pot can randomly trigger the bonus game, which awards eight free spins.

When a pot triggers, the whole reel beneath it is marked in gold. An instant cash prize of up to 100,000x is also paid at that moment. During the free spins, hitting one or more coins retriggers the feature.

Sharon McHugh, Pragmatic Play's head of public relations, describes the game as a take on the classic tile theme and points to the 100,000x win as something that can occur when the bonus is triggered.

The studio says it develops up to eight new slot titles every month. Mahjong Wins Triple Pot is the latest of them, with a 96.5% RTP and a top prize of 100,000x.
