Launch to Riches: Pragmatic Play's Rocket-and-Asteroid Slot

Launch to Riches is a space-themed slot from Pragmatic Play built around rockets and asteroids. Instead of relying only on the reels, it moves much of the action to an extra grid above them, where rockets are fired at blocks of space rock to reveal what sits underneath. The game lists an RTP of 96.52%.

How the base game works

Three rocket collect symbols can land on the reels. Whenever one appears during the base game, a 5×4 grid of asteroid symbols opens above the reels. Up to three rockets are then fired at that grid.

Each hit can reveal one of three things: a cash prize, a scatter symbol, or a bomb. Bombs add a chain element. A bomb can award the prizes sitting next to it, or it can set off further bombs. A single rocket collect can therefore turn into several steps before the grid is fully resolved.

Scatters found this way count toward the bonus. Landing three or more triggers the bonus game, which starts with 10 free spins. Each scatter beyond the third adds two more spins, so four scatters give 12 spins and five give 14.

The free spins feature

The bonus game changes the layout. Rocket collect symbols now land on a single 5×1 row, and they fire at a larger 5×7 grid packed with asteroids above it. As in the base game, hits can reveal instant prizes.

The multiplier is tied to clearing that grid. If every asteroid is hit, a multiplier of up to 10x is applied to the total win of the feature. The round ends in one of two ways: the free spins run out, or all the asteroids have been hit.

What to check before playing

Pragmatic Play's game page lists the RTP but not the volatility, the maximum win or the bet range. Check those figures in the game's info screen before you set a stake. As with all of the studio's titles, the game is restricted to players aged 18 or over.
