Big Bass Blast is the latest entry in Pragmatic Play's Big Bass series. It puts the franchise's fisherman back at the lake, this time on a 5x3 layout with electrified reels. The RTP is 96.5%.

Base game

The fisherman wild can land on reels 1 and 5. When it does, it may carry a random multiplier from 2x up to 10x. Its main job is collection: the wild picks up the value of every fish money symbol on the reels. Those symbols carry values of up to 500x the bet, and the collecting works in both the base game and the bonus.

Three to five scatters trigger the free spins round. If only two scatters land, the hook feature can reel in a third and still start the bonus.

Free spins

The bonus awards between 5 and 9 free spins, and at least one wild is guaranteed on every spin. A counter runs alongside. Each seventh wild that lands gives five extra spins and raises the win multiplier. The multiplier starts at 2x, moves to 3x and keeps rising to a cap of 10x.

Two extra features run through the round. The hook can pull money symbols and wilds onto the reels. Dynamite and bazooka come into play when fish money symbols land without a fisherman wild, or the other way round. They offer another route to instant wins and can change symbols already on the grid. Either can appear on any spin, so the bonus is less predictable than a plain spin counter would suggest.

Wilds matter in two ways here. Each one adds to the seven needed for extra spins, and each one can gather the fish money symbols on screen. Because the multiplier rises with the counter, wins can stack as the round goes on.

Sharon McHugh, Pragmatic Play's PR director, said the franchise can explore new creative settings while keeping the gameplay players already like. The provider also says it releases up to eight new slots a month, alongside live casino games delivered through a single API.
